Shilo Shiv Suleman: Using tech to enable dreaming

Something I noticed was her accent. Her English was great but her accent was a bit distracting. I know she can't necessarily help the way she talks but it made me think about how we speak when we will present ours. We don't have to worry about distracting accents in our class but if we mumble or talk really quietly then our audience will have trouble hearing and understanding us. Another thing I noticed was the way she was dressed. I'm not sure if her attire was supposed to flow along with the theme of dreams, meaning it was sort of fairytale like clothes, or if she just dressed like that on a daily basis. Either way, the big ass flower stuck to the side of her head and the fact that her stomach was showing a bit had me distracted for a little while, mostly wondering what the hell she was thinking when she woke up that morning and picked out her clothes. The next thing that caught my attention was when she started to demonstrate a game of "magicalness" on the iPad. The game was rather loud and I had difficulty understanding what she was saying because of the volume. That tells me that if, in our own presentations, we have a video or music then we need to make sure the volume is low enough that the audience will still be able to hear us. I was kinda confused throughout the video and only really know what she was talking about by the title of the video.

I know this seems like one big bash on her, but I do have one decent thing that I saw. She was able to relate was she was talking about to something in her childhood. That's good because it gave her more of a connection with the topic.
