I liked this video because it talked about how we can live with less things that hold more value. Graham Hill talks about how Americans have 3x the space available in our houses than we did 50 years ago and yet we are still crowded in our homes. He says that with all this extra stuff that we own we have more debt because we keep buying and buying more things that we don't necessarily need without asking ourselves will this really make me happier. We will also make an even greater CO2 footprint than we've already made. This is because with bigger things, such as a two story house, there is bigger and more appliances to fill the space. Having these bigger appliances takes more electricity and so on and so forth. He tells us that with less stuff can make the CO2 footprints decrease, it can help you save money, and it can ultimately make you happier because you will have more freedom and more time. Hill gives examples on how to do this: think before we buy, get rid of stuff we haven't used in a while, get things that stack so that it will create more space, and get mulitfunctional things.
1. What about the people with big families and lots of kids?
2. How can you think small but still be able to customize your place?
3. Everthing looks so perfect, almost too perfect. What about people who like to decorate?
4. Not everyone can afford an apartment like Hill's so how can we find similar things for less?
5. How can we get everyone involved?
